Vocational Education
A three-year programme, approved by the Ministry of Education, for Years 10 to 12. On graduating, students earn a Dual Qualification Pathway — full academic credentials and an industry-ready professional standing — allowing them to enter the job market directly or progress to higher education.
Professional Certifications
For working professionals and career changers, IITA offers advanced specialist training in Ground Operations, Aviation Cybersecurity, Aeronautical English, Air Cargo Management, and Network Management — each aligned with EASA, ICAO, and IATA frameworks.

Our trainers come from across aviation and education — including academics, ground operations professionals, leaders and executives, licensed aircraft mechanics, engineers, airline and airport managers, pilots, cargo operations specialists, air traffic controllers, qualified teachers, and psychologists, among others. This diversity lets us bring real, current, industry-connected knowledge into every classroom.

IITA (the International Institute for Technology & Aviation) was founded in London, United Kingdom, in 2012, and established in Portugal in 2022. The UK operation trained more than 200 aviation professionals in specialist ground operations programmes, in partnership with organisations such as Menzies Aviation and Swissport. IITA is widely recognised as the first and only specialist pioneer in vocational aviation training in Portugal.
Yes. IITA’s vocational education programmes are approved by the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation. They are delivered within the national secondary-education framework, allowing students to complete their Year 10 to 12 studies while simultaneously earning an industry-recognised professional aviation qualification.
